TitleGut: The Inside Story of Our Body’s Most Underrated Organ | Author: Giulia Enders | Rating: 4/5

I learned a ton, starting with saliva is basically filtered blood. Loved the author’s voice, which was witty and amusing, without being forced. She has an engaging tone, and kept me wanting to read, apart from how interesting the topic is.

She provides great resources and the research backing her claims, and mostly provides what I consider a literature analysis of the research, but in a more accessible way.

Overall, a wonderful read for a nonmedical professional who wants to learn more about the gut-brain connection, the gut microbiome, and general health.
